I have been enjoying Lucy's chicks. So it made me think about our chickens. We have always loved to have chickens, real live ones. But at the moment, we don't have any. We do have some very nice wooden ones, though.
This one is on the inside of our front door- was made for me by by father-in-law for a birthday. Our grandkids love it!
I stand at the door and wiggle it a bit back and forth and make the clucking sounds, starting when they are very young- and they get the hang of it and begin to know what a chicken is!

stand under a small table with the Papa rooster, in the living room, and make a nice family.
Our kids enjoyed having chickens in the back when they were young and collecting eggs every day. Hope we can get a new pen built and get some chicks for the grandkids!
