Since discovering Sharonb's blog I have become a daily reader. She is a remarkable woman, with many gifts that she has taken the time to share with us on the web. It is truly amazing how I can ask her a question in far off Australia and sometimes, within a minute or so, receive an answer. Her crazy quilting ideas are very inspiring. I decided to make a simple heart crazy quilt type thing for a friend's birthday.

I used some of the stitches she teaches in her stitch dictionary. It is a very complete alphabetized index of stitches- very, very useful and accessible. One reason I LOVE this crazy quilting is because it gives me reasons to use many little scraps of fabric I have with bits of little embroidery; or a pretty blouse I find at the thrift shop in a lovely fabric but the wrong size, and so on. Her website is full of ideas, and prolific as she is, she adds to it daily.
She also has a series of fabric postcards, which I had never heard of. I thought this was a wonderful idea, and have been making them and mailing them. This morning I made a batch of postcards, not a batch of cookies. They went out in the mail today to some friends.

I think these are brilliant, what fun you must have had making them. Sorry about my email I need to get that sorted. Will try and make time to set up the email me button on the blog later this week.
wow, the heart looks beautiful - well done! =)
