I really love old buttons and have a collection of them. I decided to make a VERY simple quilt with buttons on top- they are sewn on very securely with strong thread, and the grandchildren love this quilt.



I only let them use it to play on in the living room when I am near- not for sleeping or something like that, where they might tug a button off and pop it in their mouth. They love to sit on it and talk about which button is their favorite.
