Storybook Quilt for Grandson
November 3, 2006

Four years ago, before our first grandchild was born, I made this quilt.

It has little written bits of many of the stories and poems I read to my children on it, with applique, handmade buttons and trim. It has been a well-loved quilt, and I brought it back to my house to re-write some of the poems, etc- after 4 years some of the ink had faded. It was a joy to make! I am so glad that it continues to be used and loved!

A wonderful quilt, destined to become a family hierloom, treasured by generations to come!

That's really beautiful!

I wanted to tell you that I love this quilt and the fact that you made it for your grandchild. It won't just be an heirloom...It will become a part of your grandchild as the little one grows.... What a blessing you both are to one another! I wouldn't mind making one similar for my new grandaughter! Hugs, Brenda
