Our family is growing, our kids get married, have babies, and it continues. So a few years ago, thinking about the Christmas Stocking situation, I realized I wanted something nice, that we could add on to every year if there were new members. So instead of buying them, I decided to make them. It was a surprise- no one saw them till they were lying by the "chimney" with care on Christmas morning. I had quietly been handstitching for months. I LOVE sewing with wool felt- it is very simple to work with. I think I have 2 more stockings to make for this Christmas- time to get stitching!
