Flyfishing thoughts

A few years ago, my husband and I took up flyfishing. I had seen some flyfishers on a trip through Wyoming and was entranced. I guess I had never noticed this sport before. I thought it looked wonderful, so we bought gear and began. Because of our very busy lives, this has not been something we have been able to do as much as we would like to, but we have hopes for future fishing trips, even if they are one-day. The photo above is me fishing one summer on the Gibbon in Yellowstone National Park- what a dream come true.

It is such a beautiful sport. I look forward to more times fishing- I even hope to fish in stormy, windy, rainy weather in a wild river (not too deep, though) someday. So many things about this appeal to me- the concentration, the beauty, the thought, the surroundings, how it is just you and the rod- out in the Lord's beautiful world.
